Kejuaraan ini diselenggarakan oleh United Nations (PBB) bertempat di United Nations Conference Center, Bangkok, Thailand pada tanggal 15 Mei 2023 s/d 19 Mei 2023 Archipelagic and Island States (AIS) globally shared the same symbiosis with the ocean and embracing it on their aspects of life. Moreover, they do also share common challenges against ocean environmental threats like natural disaster, marine pollution, marine plastic debris, unsustainable fisheries, and ocean sustainability. These threats have significantly risked the survivability of these nations. The AIS Forum was established as an open-ended, complementary, integrated, and inclusive developmental forum with regular meetings in synergy with other development initiatives. Under the collaboration with University of Padjadjaran and University of Philippines, AIS Forum is proud to introduce the Advanced Drifter GPS Oceanographic Coverage Area (ARHEA) drone. ARHEA is an oceanographic parameter measurement instrument equipped with diving capabilities and depth settings capable of providing high-quality data and capable of data acquisition in operations at depths of the water column. Recently, the drone was tested in the shores of Suva, Fiji, and Jakarta, Indonesia. These tests were successful to obtained real-time data through satellite signal relay on several data metrics. On the other hand, together with National Research and Innovation Agency of the Republic of Indonesia, the Mangrove Health Index and its software (mobile and web-based) application, MonMang 2.0., was successfully developed to monitor mangrove and seagrass ecosystem condition in multiple areas. Capacity building on using the integrated platform has been done in multiple locations in Indonesia and on-the-ground training at Suva, Fiji. Aligned with the spirit of "Accelerating Climate Action in Asia and the Pacific for Sustainable Development", the Coordinating Ministry for Maritime & Investment Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia together with AIS Forum Secretariat will host a showcase program on our recent technology implementations in the Pacific region. These technologies are believed to be scalable and potential to be implemented in multiple AIS countries. The event will highlight the importance of these innovative tech solutions, which could be upscaled and replicated to address the pressing climate challenges that the region faces pertaining to the ocean environment....
